An introduction to the digital camera as an art-making tool designed for students at the beginning level, this course will help students learn and apply basic elements of art and principles of design. This course will provide students opportunities to extend their knowledge and skills in the field of photography and the use of editing software, familiarizing the student with digital photographic equipment, materials, methods, and processes. Visual problem-solving skills are explored using technology as the main tool for creative expression and communication. Cellphone photography and editing can be infused into the curriculum.
